Many dogs tolerate CBD well when it is dosed by weight using a product formulated for animals. Human products, and products containing THC or Delta 8 that were not made for pets, are not appropriate substitutes.
Pet-specific CBD formulations contain hemp-derived CBD manufactured for animal use. The most important factor is accurate weight-based dosing: bottle strengths are not doses. Pets cannot tell us how they feel; watch closely for any change in energy or appetite. Delta 8 products are not recommended for pets. Full-spectrum products can contain trace THC within the legal hemp limit of 0.3 percent delta-9 THC, so check the THC content of any product before use.
