A Certificate of Analysis (COA) is a document produced by an independent third-party laboratory that verifies exactly what is — and what is not — in a CBD product. It is the most important document in the CBD industry and the clearest way to tell a trustworthy brand from one cutting corners.
A complete COA tests for: potency (how much CBD, THC, and other cannabinoids are actually present), pesticides, heavy metals, microbials, and residual solvents. Banner Harvest tests for all of these on every product. Many brands test only for potency — which tells you almost nothing about safety. It tells you what is in the product. It does not tell you what else is in it.
When reading a COA, look for: the name of the testing laboratory, the date of testing, the batch or lot number matching your product, and results columns showing ND (non-detected) or values within passing ranges for every contaminant category. If a brand cannot show you a COA — or if the COA covers only potency — that is a serious warning sign.
