Hemp oil (also called hemp seed oil) is pressed from hemp seeds and contains no CBD. CBD oil is extracted from the leaves, flowers, and stalks of the hemp plant and contains meaningful concentrations of cannabidiol.

Hemp seed oil is a nutritious food oil rich in omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. It is a legitimate health product but has no cannabinoid content and will not interact with your endocannabinoid system. CBD oil is made from hemp plant material – specifically the leaves, flowers, and stalks where cannabinoids are concentrated. This is an important distinction because some brands deliberately use the term hemp oil to describe a product with trace or negligible CBD content. Always look at the milligram content on the label – a legitimate CBD oil will state the total CBD mg per bottle and per serving. If a bottle just says hemp extract or hemp oil with no mg count, it is likely hemp seed oil or a low-grade product. Banner Harvest labels clearly state CBD content per serving on every product we sell.
