Is All CBD the Same Quality?
No. CBD quality can vary enormously depending on how the hemp is grown, how the CBD is extracted, how the product is formulated and manufactured, how fresh it is, whether it is independently lab tested, and whether the label accurately reflects what is actually in the bottle.
Most consumer CBD products have not undergone FDA review for safety, effectiveness, dosage, or quality before reaching the market. The FDA has tested CBD products and found that some did not contain the levels of CBD they claimed, while also raising concerns about contaminants and inconsistent product quality.
One of the clearest ways to evaluate a CBD product is to review a current full-panel COA (Certificate of Analysis) from an independent, accredited laboratory. A full-panel test can verify cannabinoid potency and screen for pesticides, heavy metals, residual solvents, and microbial contamination.
How a CBD product is made matters too. Banner Harvest crafts its products in-house rather than purchasing finished white-label products from a third party. That means we control the process from formulation through the finished bottle, including ingredient selection, production, testing, and handling.
Because we make our products ourselves, we can produce them fresh instead of relying on finished inventory that may have spent months moving through a third-party supply chain. That gives us tighter control over freshness, consistency, potency, and overall product quality.
Banner Harvest also tests every batch through an independent third-party laboratory and makes those results publicly available. Combined with more than 55 years of hands-on experience with the plant, our in-house approach allows us to know exactly what goes into our products and how they are made from formulation to finished product.
